| Glad to hear the move went well for you both, so the bed would not go up the stairs. Does that mean you had to sleep downstairs? Should have got a bungalow Doing today? | |

Anyway enough of us what are you all doing today Morning Shell & Tell, Steve, and all. Glad to hear that the move went well. I don't envy you one bit having to go through that routine. We've got a slight problem with our hot water system, and I am suspecting either the motorised valve (or micro switch within), or the tank stat. So, once Rita has finished her daily ablutions, it's tools out and further investigations by me. In the meantime, I have opened the motorised valve manually, and along with the central heating, the water is nice and hot according, to H.M. Lunchtime sees us with friends, in an old 13th century ale house, providing of course, that I haven't flooded the house out. Cheers for now, Jock.

Not something I want to be doing again if Ican help it (although I think Brenda might have other ideas ). Bit breezy and cloudy here in Warwickshire (temp is showing 6.5 C). I think we're off to Banbury in a bit (gawd I hate shopping!!). Have a great day everyone!

No need thanks "oh ye of little faith". All sorted now. Removal of the cover from the motorised valve, and some manual manipulation along, with a bit of liquid engineering (silicone spray), soon saw it all working a treat again. Hot water now flows, with or without the heating on. I am looking forward to my big breakfast cooked by the lovely Rita. TTFN, Jock.

| Thanks Steve. I shudder to think what the call out fee would have been for a Sunday morning, and even then, I wouldn't be guaranteed not to be ripped off for something it wasn't. - Admin wrote:

No chance pal. I have an appointment with a pint. Feet up later, in front of the telly though. Cheers, Jock.

Had no signal at Sandy Balls New Forest Campsite. We had such a chilling long weekend, swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi lots of nice food too.
Got back a few hours ago and just catching up on cyberspace.
Glad the move went okay, something we will be doing shortly and dreading it, but our stuff is going into storage, but most of its going, thats the hardest bit. We really must start focusing on sorting things out now.
Neils retirement do was out of this world we had such a brillant night, and night to remember (shalamar).

| Thanks for you kind comments
No we havent sorted the truck out, we are going to brugge for New year with friends, depending on the house sale, help us source the truck, and leave it at there house untill we can get back out there in February to get it ready for the box to be built in March april.
We have been selling things all summer we did three boot sales, sold neils bike and his lovely trailer. We are now talking about buying a big box type trailer as when we go off to germany to do the build we need something to ship and store some stuff, like his tools etc, it will be too much to carry the stuff in the motorhome.
Once the house is finalised we will then have the money for the truck to finish it anyhow, we also need to buy a cheaper house somewhere to rent out to give us some income for travelling.
The retirement do we were given the opportunity to have the tower of london, the beefeaters gave us two tours, like the changing of the keys etc, It was very atmospheric in the dark, the club house was very christmassy, and we had some friends and family as well as some of neils work colleages spreading over 30 years. The good thing was that the drink was at club prices, rather than London prices which would have cost us at least £5 per pint or glass of wine. He had lovely speeches made about him and it was very touching. It was great to celebrate but also great to know it was finishing it you know what I mean.

| Morning all. It's so cold out, that the heating (set at 17°C) has come on during the night. Pat & Neil, so glad that Neil's retirement do went well. It's a new life and a new beginning for you both now. The very best of luck, and good wishes for the future. Regards, Jock & Rita. | |
